HATE

intense hostility and aversion usually deriving from fear, anger, or sense of injury

Without knowing the reason why, I sometimes think of the title of the book & movie The Hate U Give and it strikes me every time.

The hate that someone gives is the hate they have inside of them. What they intent to do with their hate to someone else is actually what they’re doing to themselves.

This is going to be a very simple message.

Hate kills, hate makes sick, hate condemns, hate burns, hate destroys, hate breaks and the list goes on.

If you’re dealing with hate right now, you may want to wonder why you are doing this to yourself.

You might be pretending that you’re happy directing all your anger at someone else, or sometimes a whole group of people, but you sure aren't.

I will state something that may seem naive or too hopeful for our generation;

We don’t need hate. We need love.

Inside of us, in families, in communities, in nations, in this world.

Hate is such a violent feeling that it can rip your heart out and the hearts of the people surrounding you.

If you have been hurting and hating for a while, please consider healing.

I have never believed anyone telling me, with eyes full of hate, that they were going to move on and do their own thing. Hate will keep you stuck right where you are and it will not allow you to do anything that would allow you to become a better person.

Father God, heal the heart of those who are hurting and living with hate, bringing peace and love to their soul. Do not let them leave this life without experiencing your Love and the gift of forgiveness. Let them be happy, let them be peaceful. Let them be who they need to be in order for them to live hate-free, inspiring, and thriving lives.

In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Peace,

💋
