What are your plans for New Year’s Eve? I have none, and that is all good.
Well, I might be exaggerating a little.
I will be doing something: enjoying the night in my home.
There is obviously a certain euphoria when it comes to Christmas and New Year’s Eve parties. Christmas is usually spent with family, nicely and quietly at home, eating fancy food. While New Year’s Eve is typically wilder with friends, nights out and for the less smart ones: excessive alcohol.
And I felt like i needed to say this;
You don't have to do anything you don't want to do for New Year's Eve.
Anyone who feels pressured by feelings of shame conducted by the though of having "no plans" for New Year’s Eve, but kind of likes that thought, should embrace it. As an introvert who is tired of constantly being pressured by people to be more extrovert, I am glad to have finally come to this conclusion. Preferring to stay at home is fine.
Once you have embraced the idea of a cozy New Year’s Eve, if people kindly ask you :
"What are you doing for New Year’s Eve?"
Don’t you dare answer :
"Nothing."
Why? Because people have learned to disvalue and underestimate the comfort of a home, comfy pyjamas & money saving. We love these even if…
We’ll Having Nothing To Post
You will find out later that I am not a social media enthusiast. So, I will never envy anyone based on what they show off. If you know that you’ve made your right decision, other people’s decisions cannot affect you.
It’s about you, learning to embrace your true self in all types of situations and any time of the year. Don’t let social pressure in.
Happy * *,
Love,
💋
