Praying For Your Friends

Updated: Nov 13, 2019

When you find yourself in a dark place, will those you count on have your back?

The Power of Prayer

We all go through some tough times in our lives, but I like to believe that we never have to face life's difficulties all alone.

We’ve got God, we’ve got family and we’ve got friends.

It is obvious for you to want to pray for yourself, for your health, for your love, for your healing, for your blessings. It might be obvious for you to want to pray for your family too, the people who have raised you and the people you grew up with.

The Bible says that "the prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective." (James 5:16).

That is the reason why friends need to pray for each other.

We don’t choose our family but we choose our friends. As born-again individuals we need to be around people who will lift up our spirits and not pull them down.

We need to be around people who will show us the light when everything seems dark.

We need to be around people who will have the courage to take our problems and make them theirs, so they can take it to the Throne and pray for us sincerely, wholeheartedly.

We need this.

As a shy person, I usually don’t like confessing my problems to other people; I’m always thinking "they have their own". But what an amazing power, weapon and opportunity that is prayer in between our hands, not only for ourselves but for one another.

If you are going through a tough time and if you’re not going through a tough time, look at your friends, pray for them and ask them to pray for you.

Praying for their growth, their success, their health, their families, their dreams, their love for Jesus.

This might be the first step to start praying for your enemies…

What are your thoughts on the matter?

Whatever they are,

Love y’all

💋
